Clicking this button will compose an email in Outlook for the highlighted sales order showing the customer all the items outstanding on that sales order and an ETA date as follows:

1.        If the line is fully allocated – ETA is noted as the next business day (skips weekends and non-trading days)

2.        If the line has a backorder quantity, and there is a single purchase order to satisfy the backorder, the ETA is noted as the next business day after that ETA (skips weekends and non-trading days)

3.        If the line has a backorder quantity, and there are a multiple purchase orders to satisfy the backorder, the ETA is noted as the next business day after the LATEST ETA (skips weekends and non-trading days)

4.        If the line has a backorder quantity, and there are no purchase orders to satisfy the backorder, the ETA is noted as ‘Contact Us’.

The email address and contact name used are pulled from the web order if the sales order is from a web order, or from the sales contact/email on the account if it is a manual sales order.

The email will open up in outlook for editing before sending.
