Several lookup screens which are accessed using * Enter, F2, or the magnifying glass, have been upgraded to a new Modern Keyword Search interface. In the past, users needed to select an Index and enter a ‘Start At’ value to perform a search, or use the Keyword Search F5 button to enter keywords. With the new Modern Keyword Search screens, users can now search for records where any/all the search terms appear anywhere within the records being searched.

These new Modern lookups function similarly to the ‘Find Products’ screen that users are familiar with when searching products using the *KEYWORD1 KEYWORD2 method.

Search results are automatically ranked by relevance, ensuring the most relevant results appear at the top. A maximum of 1000 results will be returned for each search.

The following lookup screens have been upgraded to Modern Keyword Lookups:

Supplier/Creditors Lookup

Periodic Bill Lookup

Integrated Payment Token Lookup

Web ID Lookup

Customer/Debtor Lookup

CRM Contacts

Chart of Accounts

SKU Product Lookup

System Operators

Payroll Allowance/Deduction/Entitlement Lookup

Equipment Lookup

For users who prefer the old 'Classic' lookups, a button is available to switch the default back to the Classic lookup. For each lookup type, BBS will remember which lookup the user prefers based on their their BBS login. Additionally, there is a button on the Classic lookups that allows users to switch back to the Modern Lookup.

Product lookups, accessed via * Enter, F2, or the magnifying glass on a product code entry field, will now default to the "Find Products - Keyword and Wildcard Search" screen instead of the classic Product Lookup Screen. As mentioned earlier, users can switch back to the classic Product Lookup at any time. Other than this change, the Find Products screen and its search logic remain unchanged.
