A new Minimum Sale Age option is now available for products. This allows a minimum age to be specified for products that have age restrictions on their sale. This is particularly useful for products such as alcohol, spray paint and other age-restricted products, where customers must meet a minimum legal age to purchase them.

 

When a product with a Minimum Sale Age is entered onto a sale, BBS will prompt the user to verify the customer's age before the product can be sold.

 

In Point of Sale and QuickPOS, users will receive the below prompt when adding a product with a minimum sale age.

 

 

Prompt if a suspended sale is retrieved with age restricted items (age verification isn’t stored against suspended sales).

 

Prompt in Sales Order Entry & Maintenance when adding a product with an age restriction.

 

The below prompt occurs if an item is cancelled at line entry, when converting a quote to an order, when taking an order off hold, and clicking Save Order.

 

Captured details are visible in Sales Order Enquiry, Sales Invoice Enquiry and Point of Sale Transaction Enquiry in the Messages popup.

 

Delivery Notes and Delivery Dockets (customer copies and POD copies) display notations where ID is required to be checked at delivery point.

 

Line comments are automatically populated on Manifests where ID is required to be checked on delivery and display on the manifest printout and also in the BBS Atom app.
