We are excited to introduce the new Sales Promotions module, designed to offer flexible and customisable promotional options for your business. This module allows you to create and manage a wide range of promotions based on product selection, quantity and discount type.
Here are a few examples of the types of promotions you can run using this feature:
1.Buy X Quantity, Get X Discount
•For example, "Buy 3 items, get 10% off"
•This promotion can be applied to specified products or any product(s) in your store, giving flexibility in how you structure discounts.
2.Buy X Value, Get Y for $20
•For example, "Spend $100 on specified products or any products, get a select item for only $20"
•You can choose the item for the discount to apply to and set a fixed price for it, providing a unique incentive.
3.Discount Applied Only to Specific Products
•For example, "Buy any stainless steel mixing bowl, get 20% off any mug"
•The promotion allows discounts to apply on different products than those that qualify for the promotion.
4.Category-Based Discounts
•For example, "Buy 2 items from the 'Homeware' product group, get 15% off on all kitchen products"
•This allows you to create product group-based promotions, where certain product groups qualify for the promotion, and the discount can be applied to any other product group.
Flexibility in Product Qualification and Discount Application
You have complete control over how you structure your promotions. The products that qualify for the promotion can be different from the ones that receive the discount. This means you can offer deals where certain items are considered for promotion eligibility but the actual discount applies to another product or set of products.
For example, you could allow customers to qualify for a promotion by purchasing from one product group (e.g. homewares), but the discount can apply to products in a different product group (e.g. kitchenware).
Current Compatibility and Future Enhancements
At the moment, these promotions are available within the Point of Sale, QuickPOS, and Sales Invoices. Sales Orders compatibility is coming soon, so you will be able to use these promotions more broadly across all your sales channels.
Additionally, we are working on a feature that will allow for auto-bonus products (e.g. buy X, get Y free). This will further streamline the process and provide you with even more options for creating compelling promotions.
