This process is used to create new eStore categories, and/or reorganise existing categories to suit your eStore structure.
Add normal categories beneath an existing parent. Selecting the top level and adding a category creates a new root category and should be done only when that is intended. |
Deleting a category also deletes its descendant categories and removes associated catalogue-category mappings and category-visibility records. Confirm the full impact before using Delete Category. |
Category maintenance affects the storefront structure for all three product classes. It does not by itself publish a product. |
1.From the BBS Main Menu, select eStore > Maintenance > eStore Category Maintenance. 2.In the category tree, select the category that will be the new category's parent. 3.Click Add Sub-Category. 4.Enter the category Name. 5.Check the Parent. 6.Set Sort Children (A-Z), Display in Nav Bar, Anchor Category, Product Group and Enable for Store Views as required. 7.If required, enter the SEO Title, SEO Desc and Keywords. 8.Click Save. 9.Click Upload Changes when the saved category changes are ready to be sent to the eStore. |
