The G/L Account Enquiry program allows users to view the general ledger accounts set up in their system. Users can choose to view All general ledger accounts or by account type Equity, Asset, Liability, Revenue and Expense by clicking on the required tab.
General Ledger Account Enquiry Screen

Cost Centre – Defaults to 9999 (All Cost Centres). Clicking the allows users to select a different cost centre.

Find Account – Users can enter the general ledger account number or name if known or click to search.
|
|
Displays the general ledger accounts set up in your system. Double clicking an account will open up the Account Balances screen for that account. Please refer to General Ledger - Account Balances for more detail.

Account Balances – Navigates users to the General Ledger - Account Balances screen for the selected account displaying the account balances for each month for the current year. Please refer to General Ledger - Account Balances for more detail.

Transaction Register – Navigates users to the General Ledger - Transaction Register screen for the selected account displaying a summary of transactions for the current period. Please refer to General Ledger - Transaction Register for more information.

Journal Detail Register – Navigate users to the General Ledger - Journal Detail Register screen for the selected account displaying individual transactions for the current period. Please refer to General Ledger - Journal Detail Register for more information.

General Ledger - Account Balances
General Ledger - Account Balances Screen

Account - Displays the general ledger account number and description of the selected account.
Cost Centre - Displays the cost centre for the selected general ledger account.
Year - Defaults to the current year. Clicking the drop down arrow will allow users to select a different year.

Monthly Balances - When selected the value displayed is the total value of transactions for each period only.
Accumulate Balances - When selected the value displayed is an accumulated value using the balance at the end of the previous period +/- the value of transactions for that period.

Budgets - Switches the Budget/Forecast column to show G/L Budgets for the account
Forecast - Switches the Budget/Forecast column to show G/L Forecasts for the account

Displays a summary list of transaction values per period for the selected year for the selected general ledger account.
|
|
Transaction Register - Navigates users to the General Ledger - Transaction Register screen displaying a summary of transactions for the selected period. Please refer to General Ledger - Transaction Register for more information.

Journal Detail Register - Navigate users to the General Ledger - Journal Detail Register screen displaying individual transactions for the selected period. Please refer to General Ledger - Journal Detail Register for more information.

Exports the information in the list box to Excel.

From Date/To Date - The start and end dates of the period users want to view transactions for.
Journal Type - For future development.

Displays a list of transactions for the selected period for the selected general ledger account. Double clicking a transaction will open the transaction in the Journal Enquiry screen.

View Journal - Navigates users to Journal Enquiry for the selected line.
|
|
View Journal Line Detail - Navigates users to General Ledger - Journal Line Detail screen for the selected line.
The buttons at the bottom of the screen will navigate users to the relevant enquiry screens and will vary depending on the journal type being viewed.
