Finished Product to Build:

•W/H Code - Displays the warehouse code for the finished build product.

•Build Order Date - Displays the date the build order was created.

•Product - Displays the product code being built.

•UOM - The unit of measure of the product code being built.

•Description - The description of the product being built.

BOM Purchase Order Options:

•Date Required - The date the selected product build is required.

•Sales Rep Code - The sales rep code creating the build order.

•Built Product is for EBI Sales Order - When ticked the the selected product build is marked as being for an Exclusive Buy-In sales order and will populate a field for users to enter the EBI sales order number. The product produced will be allocated directly to this EBI sales order.

Build Location:

•Build Location Address - Will automatically populate with the relevant warehouse address, users can edit if required.

•Contact - The name of the contact at the build location.

Shipping Details/Purchasing Type for Component Sales Order:

•Ship Via - The shipping method that will be used to ship the components for the build order. Please refer to Ship Via/Courier Masterfile Maintenance for more information.

•Part Ship - When selected, the components for the build order can be shipped in parts. This is usually when a component on the build order is not in stock and is ordered in.

•No Part Ship Allowed - When selected, the components for the build order cannot be shipped in parts, if a back order is created for an item not in stock, the entire order is held and shipped to the build location after all of the items have come in.

•Direct Delivery - When selected, the build order will be shipped directly from the supplier to the build location.

•Exclusive Buy-In - An exclusive buy-in build order will not allocate any goods from stock but instead will backorder all items to be ordered from a supplier. BBS will ensure that the items ordered from suppliers for an exclusive buy-in are not allocated to other build orders or customer orders that may exist in the system for the same products. This option is usually used for items which are custom in some way (such as printed, embroided, or specially manufactured items) where it is important that the exact item bought in for the build order is the exact item that is sent to the build location.

Build Quantity and Build Order Options:

Qty to Build - The quantity of the finished product code required to be built.

Qty Already Built - Displays the quantity that has already been built since the build order was created.

Qty Outstanding - Displays the quantity still required to be built.

Part Build - When selected build orders will be generated as components become available. ie. The quantity to build is 5 and there are enough components in stock to build 2, the system will generate build orders for 2 finished products.

No Part Build - When selected build orders will not be generated until all components required for the quantity to build are available.

Express Build - Allocate Stock for Components Direct to Build Order - When ticked, stock will be allocated directly to the build order bypassing the picking run system (picking slips will only be generated for backorders).

Build for Backorders - Users can enter the sales order numbers where the selected product is required. This is filled in automatically when a build order is created from the Stock Requirements Manager.

BOM Build Purchase Order - Displays the purchase order number for the BOM build order. Clicking the will navigate users to Purchase Order Enquiry.

Component Sales Order - Displays the sales order number for the components of the build order. Clicking the will navigate users to Sales Order Enquiry.

Exit (F4) - Exits the screen prompting users to confirm they wish to exit without saving changes.

Next (F6) - Navigates users to the Lines tab.

Components & Build Items:

•Entry Type: Users can enter different types of entries to a product build. Options are:

a.Product Code - Allows users to add a product component to the build order.

b.Labour - Allows users to add a labour component to the build order.

c.Consumables - Allows users to add a consumable component to the build order.

d.Instruction - Allows users to add an instruction to the build order.

e.G/L Account - Allows users to add a value to a general ledger account for the build order. i.e freight, electricity etc

•Product Code - The product code of the component to be added to the build order. (Only available when Product Code is selected as the Entry Type).

•Description - The description for the selected Entry Type.

•UOM - Unit of measure of the selected product code.

•Line Comm - Users can enter a line comment for the selected Entry Type if they wish. Clicking the will allow users to add multiple lines or the blurb for a product code if one exists.

•Purch Comm - Allows users to enter a purchasing comment if required that will alert the purchasing department that a purchasing comment exists. This can be useful when the selected product is required to be purchased from a specific supplier to be guaranteed a special price etc. Clicking the will allow users to enter a preferred supplier for the backorder, and/or to add multiple lines.

•Qty Required - Enter the amount of the selected component required to build a singular unit. The Qty Used will display the quantity of the selected product that has already been used to build a singular unit, Total Qty Req displays the total quantity of the selected product required for the build order, Qty Avail displays the quantity of the selected product that is in stock, Qty B/O displays the quantity of the selected product that is on backorder. When a multi-quantity product is selected the calculator button will change allowing users to enter the multi-quantity breakdown. Please refer to Multi-Quantity Entry for more information.

•Qty Allocated - The quantity allocated will automatically populate, up to the total quantity ordered or up to the quantity available (except for Exclusive Buy-Ins and Direct Deliveries which are always backorders). Where the selected product is a Lotted Item the calculator button changes allowing users to change the lot/batch that was automatically allocated based on system parameters (either FIFO or LIFO). Please refer to Lotted Items - Select Lot/Batches for more information. (Only available when Product Code is selected as the Entry Type).

•Cost - Allows users to enter a cost for the selected Entry Type (Only available when Labour, Consumables or G/L Account are selected as the Entry Type).

•Cost Centre - The cost centre the component will be posted against (leave blank to use warehouse cost centre). (Only available when G/L Account is selected as the Entry Type)

•G/L Account - The General Ledger account the component will be posted to. (Only available when G/L Account is selected as the Entry Type).

The buttons can be used to move the lines up and down in build orders that have yet to be saved.

Building Item – Displays the product code and description of the item being built.

Build Quantity - Displays the quantity required to be built on the selected build order.

Qty Already Built - Displays the quantity already built for the selected build order.

Qty Outstanding - Displays the quantity still required to be built.

Product Enq -Navigates users to the Global Inventory Enquiry for the item being built.

A list of the products that have been added to the build order will display in this screen, each product will be shown on a separate line with the product order details;

•Ln - Displays the line number for each product that has been added.

•Type - Displays the entry type for the line.

•Description - Displays the description of the entry type.

•Req'd - Displays the quantity of each component that is required to build an individual product.

•Total Req'd - Displays the total quantity of each component required to complete the build order.

•Used - Displays the quantity of the product that has been allocated to the order.

•Alloc - Displays the quantity of the component that has been allocated to the build order.

•B/Order - Displays the quantity of the component that has been put on back order to be supplied at a later date.

•Cost value- Displays the total cost value of each component required to complete the build order.

Double clicking a line will allow users to remove the product from the order or alter the quantity, price, comments etc.

Recalc Alloc Qtys - Will recalculate and allocate quantities for the selected build.

Back (F5) - Navigates users back to the Header tab.

Next (F6) - Navigates users to the Finalise tab.

The Build Order Messages section is where messages that have been added regarding the build order will display. Clicking the will display a list of system wide standard sales messages.

Build Order Summary - Displays a basic summary of the build order.

Save Draft (F7) - The build order will be saved as a draft allowing users to complete at a later date.

Save Order and Auto-Build - The build order will be saved and navigate users to the BOM Build Order Completion screen. Please refer to BOM Build Order Completion for more information.

Back (F5) - Navigates users back to the Lines tab.

Save Build Order (F6) - Will save the build order and send it to the Picking Run. Users who don't use the picking run module will be asked if they wish to print the build order. To print Picking Slips please refer to Print Picking Slips & Picking Run

Cancel Order (F9) - Cancels the selected build order.

New Build Order - Creates a new build order. When New Build Order has been selected a prompt will appear to enter the product code for the product to be built, or click to search.
